We rescue abused, neglected, and unwanted farm animals and tend to them with gentle patience, love and care. We then share them with others to teach kindness and compassion to animals, each other, and our planet.
We were rescuing animals out of our home in San Luis Obispo, California for many years. There we discovered first-hand how great the need was to create our organization and educate others about the treatment of animals. We have been a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit since 2016. We relocated to Santa Ynez in 2019 where the new larger location allows us to help more animals, and educate more people.
We share the history of each animal, their resilience and why it is important to show kindness and respect to others. Hands-on time with the animals allows us to experience the unconditional acceptance and healing that animals give naturally. We believe that even though we all look different on the outside, on the inside we are all the same. Each species communicates through body language. Kids in particular gain an understanding of animals, see how much we all have in common, and have the opportunity to expand their empathy for all living beings. Animals aren't objects, but living beings with feelings and experiences much like our own.
